Practices:
.Practice cannot start without the coach. Please keep your swimmers out of the pool until a coach directs them to get into the pool, especially the younger swimmers.
.Be on time. Help your child get to practice every day with his/her equipment (suit, goggles, swim cap, towel, etc.). Try to arrive 5-10 minutes early.
.Do not drop off your child too early and pick up your child promptly at the end of practice. The coaches are NOT babysitters. They will be coaching the next group of swimmers. There will not be a lifeguard on duty to watch other kids in the water.
.Remind your child to listen carefully to the coach. They are there to coach, not to handle discipline problems. If your child is not comfortable with a request, the child should talk to the coach. Behavior problems will not be tolerated.
.Swimmers should not leave the practice area unless they inform the coach.
.On cold days, keep your child out of the water until it is time for practice. We don’t want the kids to be too cold or tired before practice.
.For parents, please don’t use practice time as an opportunity to talk to the coaches. If you have a problem/suggestion, please contact our Head Coach Leigha Whitridge at [email protected]
Coach Leigha can answer questions once all practices are over for the day or by email.
.We request that parents do not stand/sit directly beside the pool during practice. Please watch and visit at the tables and chairs. Let our coaches do their job–they’re great! Please talk with your children after—not during—practice.
